Anna Wintour’s Bagh

On the side of the highway to the Hamptons, tucked away in eastern Long Island, is a simple
wooden farm gate, giving way to a driveway. It winds through wild cherry trees in a meadow of
high grass and ends in a small gravel court, walled in faded brick and covered in ramblers with
soft pink flowers. Featuring a range of different plants and styles, from hidden corners of
peonies, baptisia, artemisia and geraniums to vine-covered trellises, lies Anna Wintour’s
Garden. The romantic and winding 40 acres - cultivated over more than two decades by her
friend, the landscape designer Miranda Brooks.
